Coming Soon: Final Post

Hello Dear Fellow Travelers,

I write to you from Santiago!

WE MADE IT!

Since arriving in Santiago yesterday I've tried to soak up the end of my experience but also struggled with some tummy trouble, so I've lacked the focus to write.

My wake up call is set for 5am (let's hope it works because my phone charger has broken and I'm running low on battery already) and by 3pm ET tomorrow I should be home. I plan to take that time to collect my thoughts and fill you in on the conclusion of our journey.

In the meantime, I hope you will accept my sincere thanks for your prayers and support. I can't even begin to articulate how much they have meant to me.

So more from me in the next 36hrs or so. I promise!

  4. I can't believe it's almost over!! The time has flown!! Maybe that's because I didn't have to do any of the actual walking....But I'm just so glad for you and that you were able to walk the rest of the way. Your feet are going to be so glad when they find out they don't have to walk for miles tomorrow! I'm going to keep praying though, for a safe journey home!

  11. God continue to bless you Jill. I admire your strength and courage. I would love to go on a Camino but with a bad back, need a hip replacement and recently fractured my knee and ended up with a DVT clot. I think I'll just pray for you and all others who endure this journey. God is good...all the time. Blessings

  14. Congrats Jill! What an amazing and blessed journey. Can't wait to read your next post! Maybe in the coming weeks you could do a blog post, Periscope or Facebook live with Camino "best practices", tips, gear to buy, reference to look at, etc. since I think you've inspired so many to want to walk the Camino ourselves. I know you have inspired me to want to do it!

  15. Congratulations, Jill. I am impressed and inspired by your strength and courage. While I will probably never do the Camino, reading your blog makes it a bit easier to trek through my own daily journey of life! Prayers to you for a quick healing of the feet! Rest!

  16. I had a watermelon margarita in honor of the Victory! I will retire next year and the Camino Walk is the plan for my decompression from the work word. I will be 62 and will have the luxury of the seniors life in not pushing my self. Over the last year I have talked my self in and out of the walk but you have sealed the deal that I can do it!
